I lost a son at the age of 6 months in 1979. I still wonder today what he would have been like and on his birthday and the anniversary of his death still grieve for him. But I did have the joy of holding him and loving him for the short time he was on this earth. Mothers who lose their babies through abortion never have this opportunity but I do know they experience a grief that is so deep that often they don't even know that is what they are experiencing for years to come. I had no choice about when my son would leave me but any woman who reads this who might be considering this action, I encourage to think carefully about what could be.
