Mozambique

Bayside Church has been actively working with missionaries in the north east of Mozambique for many years – in the communities in and around the town of Monapo, approximately two hours drive from Nampula.

This work was pioneered by Bayside Church partners, Terry & Inez Treacy. The Treacy family have returned to Melbourne but the work is continuing through our partnership with the World Outreach team. In particular, there are two families in Mozambique that we are linked with and provide support to:

- Paul & Sue Fosse (+ 2 children) are based in the town of Monapo. Their focus is on church planting, Bible teaching, leadership training and equipping the local people with practical skills.

- Colin & Jenny Ayling (+ 4 children)
have responsibility for supervising the farm just outside Monapo that was gifted to World Outreach. Cashew nuts are being grown and the first crops harvested. They also run Bible teaching seminars and church leadership training. Jenny oversees the health clinic and feeding program.

- Myriam Wahr is a German Nurse and is working in Memba establishing natural medicine clinics. There are 5 clinics so far with three more to be established this year. She is training local health assistants to grow plants and herbs to produce medicine which can be used by the community.
