Community Care

Bayside Church is strongly committed to reaching out to people in our community in a practical way that Jesus loves them. The Bayside Dream Centre is the benevolent care arm of Bayside Church and is responsible for many community projects. There are many ways you can be part of this vision and help meet needs. Here are some examples:

Community Support Supermarkets in Cheltenham and Frankston
The supermarkets provide reduced price, quality groceries to assist struggling people and families in the community.

Matt's Place
A community meals program operating one day a week, providing a homestyle hot meal for members of the community struggling with finance and/or loneliness.

IT & Retail Training
Training is made possible via Work For The Dole programs.

Community Christmas Lunch
An annual Christmas lunch providing an opportunity for those who are alone and/or disadvantaged to come together and enjoy a traditional three course dinner for free.

Emergency Food Distribution Parcels
Available throughout the year to individuals and families facing financial difficulties.

We also support other intiatives including schools programs, as well as respond to community needs as they arise such as providing drought relief to farmers and their families. Volunteer opportunities exist for any of the above initiatives and corporate sponsorships and donations are welcomed.
