Disadvantaged people in the Bayside community are able to enjoy all the comforts of a home cooked meal and friendship at Matt’s Place.
Matt’s Place, open every Thursday, provides warm hospitality for those who are doing it tough or are disconnected from the community. A two course hot meal is provided as well as an opportunity for connection and social interaction through activities such as playing cards.
Bayside Church and other local Cheltenham churches have banded together to open Matt’s Place after recognizing a gap in the community. Churches include Bayside Dream Centre (the benevolent arm of Bayside Church), Church of the Open Door and St Matthews Anglican Church.
Date & Time: Lunch is served from 11.30am – 1.00pm every Thursday
Venue: St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Cnr Park Rd & Nepean Hwy, Cheltenham
