Bayside Church raised $10,600 to help assist those affected by the earthquakes in Christchurch. The earthquake took place on 22 February and measured 6.3 on the richter scale. As of 6 March, the current death toll stands at 166 people. Many buildings and landmarks have been affected and a National State of Emergency was declared as a result of a loss of water, power and damage to the sewerage system.
